Wow, where do I even begin with Greta. I had no intention of getting a content creator until a friend told me not getting one was their biggest wedding regret. I first messaged Greta on Instagram because she'd had the most amazing display of flowers at her own wedding at the Tonnara. We got talking and I very quickly realised she had similar taste to me and gave really good advice. After a few months of back and forth she offered a call to help me with planning and Tonnara-specific advice, and on that call she told me about her love for photography and video and how closely she's followed this industry for years. This is Greta's passion and it shows.
The photos and content from her own wedding were so gorgeous that I employed her as my content creator off the back of it. A real leap of faith — she was completely random to me, new to the industry, and lived on the other side of the world. And she turned out to be, hands down, the best money I spent on the entire wedding.
Greta was unbelievably prepared. She'd done so much research and turned up with a plan — and about 15 different cameras! Film, digital, Super 8, Polaroid, disposable, camcorder. She was everywhere at once. She had tasteful ideas, never imposed on a single moment, and was just a cool chick with great energy who fit right in.
In my head I'd thought "if it's bad, I just won't post it." I have posted every single video, reel and photo she made. Her output is incredibly tasteful and chic — not cringey, corny, fake or staged. It's romantic, cool and genuine, and the song selection is perfect. My guests have not stopped commenting on how streamlined, authentic and professional her content is. And her film photographs were absolutely incredible — the grain, the contrast, the colour, all perfect.
The day after each event, she sent me a shared album with more than 2,000 photos and videos from the event. I can't tell you how amazing it is to wake up to an album of photos and videos from the night before. You spend so much time, energy and money on these events and then hardly remember them in the frenzy that they are. Paying for a content creator is worth it purely because of this. A few days later, Greta had produced the most beautiful reels and shorts for Instagram, and 5 days later she'd developed and downloaded 500 film photos from the wedding. Her deliverables were so timely and quick.
My wedding was across 3 days and Greta was there every single day. Because I trusted her eye for photography and design, she also became my advisor across the whole weekend.
If you're wondering whether you need a content creator (even if you're not a "content girl"), the answer is YES. And if you're wondering whether to get them for the wedding day only or the other events too — get them for every day. The content from the other days might be my favourite, even above the wedding day itself. I could not be happier with my choice.
